On behalf of this Lodge, congratulations you in your election to the Order of the Arrow. You have been honored by your fellow Scouts in your troop for membership in the OA. Both you and your parents probably have questions concerning your election, induction, and participation in the OA. The OA is the national honor society of the Boy Scouts of America. Since its founding in 1915, over one million Scouts and Scouters have been inducted in lodges all across the country, elected by the members of their units to become part of this organization dedicated to the ideals of Brotherhood, Cheerfulness, and Service. Lo La’ Qam Geela Lodge 491 is the OA lodge chartered in Crater Lake Council since 1994.

Now That I’m Elected, What’s Next? Lo La’ Qam Geela Lodge holds four Induction Weekends annually where you can become a member of the OA. Two will be held in the Spring and two will be held in the Fall. If you do not take your Induction Weekend in the calendar year after your election, you will need to be re-elected by your Troop in order to be inducted. At your callout, usually during Camporee, you will receive a second copy of this letter with more details that you should also share with your parents. If you are unable to attend Camporee, your letter and more information will be sent via your provided email at your election. If you or your parents have any other questions, please feel free to contact the Lodge Chief and Adviser. The dates of the upcoming Induction Weekends can be found on the Lodge Calendar.
